7 Reasons Why We Had a Blast at Rockwell Cheese Night

September 21—A lot was going on in the week prior Rockwell Cheese Night, but all things worked out for the good.

The second iteration of Rockwell Cheese Night saw a full house. Despite the heavy rains, people flocked to Aruga Cafe by Mesclun and our hearts could not be any fuller.

Here’s 7 reasons why we enjoyed Rockwell Cheese Night and why we’re doing it again on October 19:

1. Old and new faces
Couples, group of friends, colleagues– different people caught up with each others’ lives over French cheeses, wine and charcuterie.

2. The experience

Partaking in Rockwell Cheese Night is a journey of flavors, a walk-through in the rich history of cheese-making. The guests enjoyed the freedom to choose, mix and taste the cheeses, charcuterie, dried fruits, nuts and our in-house baked breads. “Camille and I really enjoyed last night’s wine and cheese event. We’re looking forward to the next one,” shared Ms. Awie, one of the attendees.

3. Cheese, cheese cheese
The artisanal cheese buffet had 10 different cheeses flown in from France.

Charcuterie, olives, cheeses, patani, pretzels, lavash and more adorned the cheese buffet

4. Wine, wine, wine

Everyone could pick and choose from red wine, white wine and rosé. Guests are entitled to six glasses of wine. (Equivalent to almost a bottle!)

5. The pimiento butter. Period.

Scene stealer and crowd favorite. Real smooth butter with a kick.

6. The truffle honey
The truffle honey was a nice addition to the many flavors on one’s plate. After taking a bite of the cheeses and charcuterie, biting onto a multi-grain bread with truffle honey brings everything together.

7. The chance to share Beillevaire, a global brand, to everyone at Rockwell Cheese Night
Aruga Café by Mesclun partnered with Chef Selection, the exclusive distributor of Beillevaire dairy products. Beillevaire– a global brand and favorite of world class chefs– carries over 300 cheeses from artisan and farmhouse producers. Beillevaire carefully hand picks each cheese that they carry, choosing them for their outstanding quality, unique history and unusual shape.
